John's a great instructor, really patient but straight-up and honest about
how you're doing.
He taught me how to drive well and safely and not just how
to pass my test. John's really fair and flexible - if there's anything in
particular you want to learn in lessons he'll help you in that.
When I had
to cancel lessons at short notice or move things around, he was really
understanding and did all he could to sort out another lesson for me.
Thanks for everything, John, and for getting me passed first time just in
time for university!

I already had a full UK Driving Licence but had not driven a car for over 5
years so I thought it would be a good idea to take some lessons.
John came
highly recommended and it was a pleasure to have lessons with him, he puts you
at ease and make you feel relaxed which is great.
I only wish John was my instructor when I first took my test!

My driving career started off at a bad rate, there was a moment when i felt like
giving up because i had a bad lesson, but my family and john kept believing that
i could do it and persuaded me to carry on, in the end i found that carrying on
was the right choice. i did have a test booked for january, but i had to
rearrange it for march as i was feeling under the weather and i was not feeling
100% confident that i would pass. so in march i took my test and pass with only
3 minors. if i did not rearrange it i think i would have definately failed my
test, so i am glad that i took the chance to change when i did. John is a very
capable driving instructor and believes in his pupils even when they have had a
bad lesson and are planning to give up, so i am thankful for his encouragement
to me to carry on learning to drive.

Before John, I was with another guy who taught me all I need, but no more
than that. When I had my first lesson with John, I knew, that I would be
fine. He only became my instructor after my dad (who is a taxi driver)
picked him up and was given John's card.
John is a very patient instructor, I was with him for only 8 weeks, but by
the time my test came round today, I knew I would be alright (even though
there was snow in places). John is honest and tells learners how it is
(whether they are doing badly or greatly). I had a nightmare lesson before
my test, but John assured me it would be fine, and how right he was.
My first three tests were with my previous instructor, and I got 2 major
faults on each of those tests and between 4-10 minors. I did not give up
though. I kept trying. I took my fourth test and passed with only 7 minors.
The car John uses is 59 reg SEAT LEON, which provides lots of power when I
need it. I will be honest though, the brakes are a bit sharp and reverse
gear is left-up, which can be confusing at times.
Overall, definately give John a go, and I have no doubt that you will pass.
If ever in doubt, he will reassure you.

I really enjoyed my year of driving with John. I remember days where i was ready
to give in, but John always assured me that one day i will be ready for my test.

John Iddon, well what can I say..
20 months I've had to put up with this man, + what an eventful 20 months it was!
But those 20 months never would have happened without the constant faith that
John had in me :)
John did not only just teach me how to pass my test.. But taught me how to drive
- skills that will stay with me forever.
Here's a driving instructor that is calm, enthuastic and quite frankly THE
BEST!!
We even considered changing instructors.. But nope, John couldnt get rid of me
that easily!
I'm so glad that I got to pass my driving test with the one + only John Iddon!
I really cannot thank him enough.
I gained a great friend in John.. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!!

I had 20 lessons with John and he helped me pass on my 2nd attempt with 4
minors, same amount as on my first attempt. I should have passed first time
but just missed out.
He's a brilliant driving instructor and a swell guy. Ok I got to say that as
he is my brother and didn't charge me for the lessons:-) good luck trying to
get the same deal.

John has moulded me in to the star pupil :)
He is one in a million... a part of a limited species of excellent
